PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a once-daily or event-based medication that reduces your risk of getting HIV by up to 99% when taken as prescribed. It works by preventing the virus from establishing an infection in your body after exposure.

Descovy: Daily pill for cis men and trans women (not approved for people at risk from vaginal sex)
Apretude: Long-acting injectable PrEP given every 2 months

DoxyPEP (Doxycycline Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a single 200 mg dose of doxycycline taken within 72 hours after condomless sex. (BEST: 24 hours after unprotected sex, not to exceed 200 mg per day) It can reduce the risk of chlamydia by up to 88%, syphilis by up to 87%, and may modestly reduce the risk of gonorrhea (approximately 50% or less, with varying effectiveness due to resistance).
