Gender Based Care Overview
What We Offer
At Be Well Berlin, weโre proud to provide respectful, affirming care for transgender, nonbinary, gender-diverse, and Two-Spirit individuals seeking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and comprehensive gender-affirming support.
Whether you're starting HRT, maintaining your regimen, or simply exploring your options, youโll find a provider who sees you as a whole personโnot a diagnosis.
As a queer clinician with a trans brother, Iโve seen firsthand the struggles our community facesโbarriers to care, the harm of being dismissed or delayed, and the devastating effects of being denied gender-affirming treatment. Thatโs why Iโve built my practice to be a safe, validating space where your identity is respected and your goals come first.
Serving patients in West LA, Long Beach, San Fernando Valley, Studio City, Valley Village, Hollywood Hills, Brentwood, Echo Park, Silverlake, Santa Monica, Culver City, Venice, Downtown Los Angeles / DTLA, Burbank, Glendale, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Newbury Park, Camarillo, San Francisco, San Diego, Fresno, Bakersfield, Sacramento, Santa Cruz, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and beyond.
We provide evidence-based, affirming care tailored to your individual goals.
Our services include:
โฆ Initiation and continuation of hormone therapy (HRT) โ test, estrogen, anti-androgens, progesterone
โฆ Informed consent model โ no mandatory therapy letters or gatekeeping
โฆ Ongoing HRT monitoring & lab work
โฆ Affordable labs: If you donโt have insurance, weโll help you access low-cost lab services.
โฆ Estrogen / Test Blockers: If cost is an issue, minimum appointment schedule is 3, 6, and 12 months after dose adjustments. Once stable on treatment, I prefer appointments every 6 months, however will work with people if they can only afford one appointment per year.
โฆ Test: Appointments and labs are required 3, 6, and 12 months after dose adjustments or starting treatment, or more frequently if there are lab abnormalities or complications. Once stable on treatment, as test is a controlled medication, minimum appointments would be once every 120 days.
โฆ Support for surgical readiness evaluations (when needed)
โฆ Mental health screening and medication support if desired
โฆ Referrals to affirming specialists and community resources
โฆ Care for nonbinary and gender-expansive individuals โ including low-dose regimens and custom HRT plans
We take time to understand your goals and work with you to develop a care plan that fits your body and your identity.
Cost of Feminization Treatment without insurance
It breaks my heart that so many people canโt access gender-affirming care and transgender HRT without insurance. One of my biggest goals in building Be Well Berlin is to make high-quality, judgment-free mental health and hormone care more affordable and accessible.
If the $100/month membership for monthly access to a board-certified healthcare provider is cost-prohibitive for you, you can still access care on a pay-per-visit basis:
โฆ Initial gender-affirming consult: $250
โฆ Follow-up appointments: $125โ$175
(Pricing depends on visit length and medical complexity. Unfortunately, I cannot offer sliding scale rates due to contractual obligations with insurance companies.)
Estrogen Therapy
Required Labs
(Baseline, 3, 6, and 12 months after starting or adjusting treatment. Once stable, labs are required annually.)
โฆ CBC, CMP, Estradiol, Total Testosterone: ~$100
โฆ If you prefer to skip Estradiol and Testosterone at baseline: ~$40
Medication Costs (via CostPlus Drugs)
โฆ Estrogens: , 60 tablets: ~$10/month
โฆ Androgen Blockers:, 60 tablets: ~$11/month
Estimated Total Cost (Uninsured & Well Tolerated Treatment)

If additional evaluation is needed due to abnormal results or difficulty with treatment, this may lead to extra costs for further labs or follow-up visits.

As a queer clinician and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Iโve been fighting for health equity since 2012โand Iโve been providing gender-affirming care since 2017. At every organization Iโve worked with, Iโve been a founding or integral part of LGBTQ+ health initiativesโhelping write care guidelines, training other providers, and pushing systems toward equity.
My commitment to this care is deeply personal. Watching my brother navigate the healthcare system as a young trans personโat a time when affirming care was almost nonexistentโleft a lasting impression. I saw the gaps, the harm, and the incredible need. That experience fuels my mission at Be Well Berlin: to make high-quality, respectful, gender-affirming care truly accessible.
Whatโs happening in this country right now is abhorrentโbut I will continue to do everything in my power to protect trans, nonbinary, and Two-Spirit patients, and ensure that healthcare remains a space of dignity, safety, and autonomy.
